WELCOME, VISITORS! Your presence is a
blessing to us. We are happy you came
and hope you will come again. If we
may be of assistance with spiritual
matters, please let us know. Tracts,
bulletins and other study resources
are available and free for the taking.
Our attendance was down a bit this
past Sunday. Several of our number has
been ill, but others are able to be
back with us. May each of us put forth
every effort to be present for every
scheduled meeting of the saints.
The average for our contribution has
been excellent this year. We were well
over the budget on January 15. Your
purpose and resolve are commendable.
God’s great gift of His Son for our
sins motivates us to give. “We love
Him, because He first loved us” (1
John 4:19).
We should be back in the auditorium by
this Sunday and perhaps, even tonight.
The duct work, wiring, lights and new
ceiling are in place. Clean up and
moving the pews back in should be done
this week. I believe we will
appreciate the better lighting and
brighter overall appearance. Thanks to
all who have assisted with getting
this done. Thanks also to everyone for
your patience and cooperation.
Several of men, younger, middle-aged
and older, enjoyed a wonderful
breakfast and period of fellowship
last Saturday morning in the annex. A
word of thanks is due to all who
helped prepare the food.
This Sunday will be a fifth Sunday
which means we will enjoy a fellowship
meal together after the morning
services and then meet at 12:30 P.M.
for our afternoon/evening service.
Javin Cripps will be preaching Sunday
morning and Eric Swann will be
speaking during the afternoon service.
Other young men will be reading
Scripture, leading singing, leading in
prayers and presiding at the Lord’s
Table. Everyone is urged to be present
and encouraged to invite a friend.
Thanks for your generosity in response
to the drives for toothbrushes and
tooth paste for the Honduran mission
trip and the supply items for Potter
Children’s Home. These are good works
which we can help support in small,
yet, important ways.
We are scheduled to conduct the
service at SCHC on February 5 at 2:00
P.M. All who faithfully assist with
this good work are to be commended. If
not presently involved, I believe you
would find this to be an uplifting and
rewarding work.
I hope to see you Sunday morning a
little before 9:00 A.M.!
Edward L. Anderson
